Large Oak King size bed designed based within the Arts and Crafts period. Designed to compliment an Oak framed building set in the Warwickshire countryside.
Lime wax finish to the Oak, to soften the furniture within such large bold Oak structural beams.
In time the Lime will fade and reduce where hands are laid, adding to the natural patina of the piece. Large head board curved to suit the reading lights installed within the wall.
Block detail to the spindles, picks up on another similar detail within the house set outside of Leamington Spa. Classic detail often seen on CRM and Stickley furniture.
Detail repeated to a reduced height to the foot board.
Matching bed side tables with block detail, note the extension drop leaf to accommodate the beam recess.
Concealed drawer to the table to keep the overall design simple. Block detail to the sides reduced in scale to suit the smaller size legs and timber.
